All in a day's work

Our little bug is in the process of getting his two bottom teeth, so when he couldn't feel the biscuit rubbing on his gums, he was not a happy camper. Hence the angry face - he has become very good at giving the angry face and pitching a fit when he is mad. Mom doesn't like this phase.

Seriously?! These Biter Biscuits really need to come with a warning label. Seeing as how Dylan HATES getting his face and hands wiped off, the aftermath of these is not too pleasant. He does, however, LOVE to eat them. He is getting so good at gumming food till he can swallow it. In fact, it's getting more difficult to feed him baby food because he always wants big boy food.

Dylan loves it when Mom sits on the floor and plays with him. Taz always tries to join in the fun because he does not like to be left out. We try to do Baby Einstein sign language every day. I think Dylan is still a little to young to understand, but he seems to love having the quality Mommy time. I love the smile on Dylan's face and the fact that I'm learning sign language in the process.

After a long day of eating, screaming, and playing, Dylan just conked out. We are so lucky that he is incredibly easy to put to bed at night. Wrap him up in his sleep sack, make sure he has his two favorite items - his moose and his binky, mama sings him a song and then he will simply fall asleep. Believe me, I know how blessed I am!

On the Move!

Well, it's official! We are packing up and moving to Raleigh, North Carolina. Mike received a job offer today and it is exactly what we were hoping for. I'm here to say that God really does answer prayers! We are so excited to move closer to our families and go where the grass really is greener. Las Vegas has given us a good start, but it is time for us to depart. This is going to be a fun adventure for us. Unfortunately the housing market in Las Vegas is horrible right now, so there is no chance in us selling our house at the present time. So, now we are on the hunt for good renters. If you know anyone, send them my way!! If you don't hear from us for the next little while, it's because we are busy packing and trying to find a new home!

Happy Father's Day

Mike has always been really into skateboarding. So, for part of his Father's Day gift, I dressed Dylan up in his cutest skater outfit and posed him with Mike's skate gear. This is the photo that I ended up framing and giving to Mike and the Grandpa's.

Best Buddies

Since the weather was so nice today, Dylan and I decided to go to the pool. We thought it would be fun to invite our good friends Jenna and her 1 year old daughter Jocelyn. This is Dylan just chillin' and waiting for his buddy to arrive.

Jenna and I try to meet up at the pool at least once a week. Joc and Dylan have become really good friends. They get so excited each time they see each other. Jenna looks way better in a swim suit than I do - that is why you get to see her with the kids and not me!

Jocelyn loves to give Dylan kisses. Today she decided that she was going to kiss his toes. Dylan seemed to be happy to not have to go through the hard task of getting them to his own mouth.

Just For Fun...

It is getting so hot here in Vegas, I've started just leaving Dylan in his diaper all day if we're just going to be at home. I think that he likes the new freedom and feeling a little breezy. Plus, the lack of clothing makes it easier to get his feet in his mouth...

Grandma & Grandpa Elkington sent Dylan these drums. He absolutely loves them. We just might have a little musician on our hands. He starts to get mad when the music stops playing.

Our little angel has learned how to stand by himself! He always looks around to make sure that someone is watching him:)
